Golden Globes 2018

This year for the Golden Globe Awards the men and women wore black in honor of the #metoo movement created by Tarana Burke that gives women the courage to speak out about sexual assault/harassment in the workplace. Another hashtag #timesup was also represented in protest—giving women equal rights which was well spoken in a riveting speech by Oprah Winfrey. Below are some of my best dressed choices of the evening.

My Take: I stand for this movement also. I think it’s pretty cool that the men and women of Hollywood decided to take a stand for women’s rights by wearing black. With all of the breaking news about the sexual assault allegations caused by men in power, I am proud that women are brave enough to speak out and are no longer silenced.
