High Fashion and Lemonade

Over the weekend the world got to travel in time inside the beautiful mind of Beyoncé  who tells a story about love, heartache, infidelity and forgiveness. In this journey the story was filled with whimsical High Fashion, poetry, song, and creativity as each scene began a next. She entitled this work of art Lemonade the visual album. Designers of each couture piece included Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Mark Jacobs, Nicolas Jebran and Givenchy.

Traveling in time, the wardrobe stylist of this project Marni Senofonte took on the theme of high fashion using inspiration from the Antebellum and Victorian Age with a Modern day twist.

Haute Couture (high fashion) is one of my favorite parts of fashion to study and write about. It showcases stunning intricate details of beautiful artwork usually constructed and handmade over long periods of time.

One of my favorite scenes from this project will have to be the underwater shot. Her beauty resonates underwater, her makeup is soft and flawless. I loved her long flowing wavy hair that compliments this gorgeous couture gown.

This scene is gorgeous! It's such a huge Fashion moment! As it merges to the next scene Beyoncé  exits this gorgeous building with a flood of water behind her, so breathtaking. (This has to be one of my favorite shots from the visual)

This hat was such a statement piece. The base of the hat is so huge it had to be specially made outside of the States. The base was found in Mexico and was later designed by a group of designers of Baron Hats.

This scene was the most whimsical of the entire visual. It reminded me a lot "Alice and Wonderland" from her hair to her peasant styled gown. I enjoyed this scene so much because it is where she found hope to love again. (Song: All Night-my favorite from the album)

Beyoncé  was so bold and daring. This is one of the most authentic pieces of work she has ever done! It was so honest and personal. She has reached heights in music that is currently unmatched. I feel this visual album will be remembered for years to come.
