NYFW
New York Fashion Week Spring 16 collection shown September 10-17 2015. New York Fashion Week also known as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is held twice a year in New York displaying fall and spring collections of ready-to-wear clothing or avant garde looks, arriving in time just before the new season arrives. It's hosted by a large amount of designers each day showcasing new designs daily. There are celebrity guests each year that attends these events. Some of the celebrity guests this year were Ana Wintour- editor and chief of Vogue magazine, Solange Knowles, Kylie Jenner, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian-West and Drake. So many Designers participated this year it was very hard to decide which collection I wanted to write about. I finally decided to do my first recap on designer Michael Costello.

IN LIVING COLOR

Michael Costello's collection was filled with bold colors that were so striking and so beautiful it grabbed my attention. The aesthetic just flowed so beautifully on the runway, very well-made and I have been a fan of his work since Project runway.

This is so bold and so beautiful. The color pops it screams Fall. I love it!

COLLECTION

When creating a collection of clothing it is important that your collection is cohesive which means each design in the collection resembles the other but isn't exactly the same, each look comes together when displayed in a group-it fits. I loved how each look flowed so beautifully down the runway. Each color was its own statement piece!

NUDES

I'd like to entitle this section nudes because these colors are earth toned and beautiful. It wasn't enough that he wowed us with the bold Fall colors but when I saw these "nude" colors and prints I gasped. It reminded me of Spring so beautiful, I love how he showcased both spring and fall looks with his color choice. I also loved the models he chose because each piece looked so gorgeous on the models' skin tones each piece compliments so well. I love the metallic accessories he added here and there with the jewelry and shoes. These designs were smart, fun, bold, and elegant!
