Art, Beats, + Lyrics

On Friday March 10th I got to experience one of the dopest urban art shows for the second year in a row Art, Beats and Lyrics (Birmingham). This year they changed locations to a bigger venue-to the Birmingham Museum of Art inviting a larger audience and boy the turn out was insane! The event started at 7pm-12am/ I am so glad I was an early bird because I was able to view and take in some of the most fascinating [art]work I've seen. After awhile there were so many people it was hard to really enjoy the different artists work. The Beats came into play with several DJs  and a performance by rapper Mannie Fresh. There was free food + drinks which we were encouraged to drink responsibly and be fly.
For my look I am wearing +Forever 21 from head to toe. I knew what kind of event this would be so I settled for a comfortable street style look. I am wearing a stripe dress, distress colored denim jacket, a cap, and black booties. Forever 21 is a store that I love to shop with because they have such a wide variety of clothing to choose from. This helps me be creative because I am able to put my own unique style together in hopes that my look is not exactly copied.

A better visual of my distressed denim jacket. The detailing is just amazing! I love that I chose red instead of blue because I know that blue denim is going to be very popular for Spring. I wanted to try something that would make me stand-out! Of course I want to wear the blue denim as well but for this event I wanted to pop & add color with my stripes.
Label so its official!
